1. Sleep, those little slices of heaven!
￼Since the day we were born, our best activity would be nothing but sleep, it’s a basic need that all the living creatures share. Well, scientists haven’t figured out exactly why do we sleep, but that didn’t prevent them from revealing the benefits of this bizarre activity.
The recommended range of sleep hours for an adult is from 7 to 9 hours per day. During that time, the mind and body execute their magic. Sleep affects partially on our mood and motivation, and besides of
its great role in the learning process and memory phenomena, it also has a strong relation with chronic diseases such as diabetes, and long-term health.
Actually, a discussion with Dr. Janet Mullington, Ph.D. Associate Professor of Neurology, Harvard Medical School have shown that researches and studies have proven an important link between sleep deprivation and increased risk of cardiovascular disease. That same deprivation may also lead to obesity ―wait!
￼What? Yes, during the hours of sleep, specific hormones are secreted in the body to help control appetite, metabolism and glucose processing.
So, when you don’t gain enough sleep, you’ll upset that balance and extra pounds will start bouncing. Not to mention that sleep is one of the immune systems best friends, for the reason that sleep helps more the immune system to fight infections. So,

￼2. Pull up a chair. Take a taste!

Time was always the first enemy to eating healthy; nobody’s got time for cooking or a fortune to dine in all those fancy restaurants out there. But hey, that doesn’t mean we have the right to put toxic fake foods into our stomachs every day.
The packed foods you buy and consume regularly aren’t always healthy for the reason that they may contain things you don’t want to know about including:
- Beaver anal secretions (Aka castoreum)
- Human hair (aka L-Cysteine)
- Biodiesel additive (aka Tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ))
- Jet fuel additive (aka Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT))
- Borax (Aka E 285)
And of course, the list is longer; such, disgusting and other similar ingredients are used as preservatives, Anti-freeze agents, flavor-enhancers, dye, thickening agents, humidity controllers, etc… These ingredients aren’t only disgusting, but also, highly dangerous and toxic.
Regular consumption may lead to serious health damages, umm. As in cancer maybe?! Brominated vegetable oil (BVO) for example, an ingredient found in citrus-flavored soda is responsible for impaired neurological abilities and early onset puberty.
So.. Maybe we don’t have the capability to prepare a 100% healthy meal, but two extra minutes to read the ingredients before you buy something never hurt nobody right? You can take control over the things you put in your stomach by taking the initiative to gain more knowledge.
￼3. Keep calm and workout
￼Okay… Nobody said we should all be athletes, but a minimum exercise routine is always requested to stay healthy. Working out isn’t about all the sweat and hard work, so don’t think about it as a hard task to do. Actually, it may be funny if you mentally prepare yourself and surround yourself with motivational conditions.
If you never worked out before, Start by picking up a sort of sports that you find yourself comfortable with, let’s say for example running. Pick someone you feel good being around them to share you the activity, it might boost your courage and motivate you more.
Also, don’t forget to use your favorite music when you work out! Don’t try to push yourself too hard from the start, you could just begin with short periods of time; 30 minutes of training per day would be enough for a starter.
Working out doesn’t only put our bodies in a good shape but also heals our minds and souls. Studies have shown that exercising improves self-confidence, reduces stress; alleviate anxiety and helps control different kinds of addictions. Not to mention its ￼amazing positive effect on memory, learning, and brainpower. I mean… Who doesn’t want to be smart and sexy!

￼In other words, create a comforting atmosphere and add your life a character. You can always learn to do it no matter what the budget is because it’s not about the money; it’s about enhancing the simplicity and purity in your lifestyle. You can start by doing that inside your house.
Make sure to always keep your place clean, polished and cultivating. You can surround yourself with decorative objects like scented candles, plants, and photographs. You can also opt for books and records and speaking of music do not forget to let that magic play often in view of the fact that music is considered one of the most effective ways to soothe the soul.
Creating a nice ambiance doesn’t only require a nice place to live in, but also, a good list of friends and connections. Having a healthy relationship with people around you may help you find a solid ground of trust and motivation that helps you move forward with your projects.
￼5. Love, Love, love!
￼Of course, we’re not talking about Titanic love in here, or that would be a huge dilemma! We’re talking about love as a basic instinct in each one of us, the need to feel appreciated, trusted, respected and taken care of. We’re talking about ￼love, as a spiritual connection, we build with people around us. Once that connection is established ―Tra-laa! C’est la vie en rose―. Our body starts to secrete hormones like dopamine, Serotonin and of course Oxytocin.
The happy chemicals, such hormones are responsible for things like self-confidence, taking actions towards goals and reinforcing pleasure. Studies have shown that low levels of these hormones or complete absence induced higher levels of anxiety, depression, and self-doubt.
Another small study published in the psychological science magazine claimed that being in a healthy, loving relationship; the brain responds less to areas associated with stress. Let us embrace the feeling…
6. Do what you love, Love what you do.
￼It’s a simple equation, no matter how organized your life is, no matter how much money’s saved in your bank account or how many friends you have around; nothing would give your life a healthy aspect except self-improvement.
You have to give time to yourself, a moment to detoxify your soul from all the impurities. Dare to let things out from time to time, clear the road for inspiration, creativity, and dynamism. Simply, Do something you love doing! Something that would make you feel like you’ve accomplished a mission, something that would make you happy.
It doesn’t matter if it’s drawing, dancing or jumping off the streets, the point is practicing your best activity. And if that leads to something, then it leads to productivity; the key to personal success.
